Strait of Hormuz still closed: 2 months into US-Israel-Iran war. Blocks 20% of world oil/gas. Brent hit $126/barrel, highest since Mar 2022. US gas at $4.30/gallon. Cease-fire fragile: In place since April 8, but Iran still blocking strait over US naval blockade of Iran oil. Trump to get briefing on “short and powerful” strikes + plan to take over part of strait with ground forces. Iran warned “long and painful strikes” on US positions if attacks resume.
